Clinic Director/Chiropractor
Dr. Oakley founded the Wellness Centre in 2004. Dr. Oakley is interested in optimizing health and longevity and continually searches for better ways to enhance the health and wellbeing of his patients. This passion is shown by the incorporation of top technologies including the use of PowerPlate®, TRX®, Digital X-ray, and the PostureRay® X-ray analysis system to the facility. To further help those in need to better their health, he will begin personal health coaching and is currently working toward completing his ‘Shotgun to Health’ book series.
Dr. Oakley has published well over 100 scientific papers and book chapters on various health topics such as posture, CBP, scoliosis, diabetes, Vitamin D, ergonomics, biomechanics and even cancer. He has presented research at prestigious scientific conferences including: the International Society of Biomechanics, North American Conference on Biomechanics, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, the Canadian Society of Biomechanics and the World Federation of Chiropractic.
He is advanced certified and is also an instructor for CBP technique, often traveling to teach other chiropractors how to practice the most evidence-based spinal correcting techniques. Dr. Oakley participated in the creation of chiropractic guidelines for both the practice of chiropractic as well as for use of x-ray for the profession.
He is a sports enthusiast, being a goalie for the Innovative hockey team as well as a recreational triathlete. He has also completed Ironman, Whistler, BC.
He has a B.Sc. kinesiology (Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario), an M.Sc. (Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario) and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa). He interned at Drs. Deed & Shirlene Harrison’s CBP clinic upon graduation in Elko, Nevada, and works for CBP Non-Profit Inc. Dr. Oakley is currently pursuing his PhD at York University and his research is investigating the consequences of spinal deformity on postural control (standing balance). He most enjoys playing driveway hockey with his two sons.

Karen is a versatile professional, working as a Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.), Freedom Facilitator Coach, and Elemental Rhythm Breathwork Facilitator She has a diverse understanding of sports therapy, rehabilitation, and correcting postural dysfunction through massage therapy.
Karen has had the opportunity to work with Olympic athletes in various sports such as rowing and figure skating, as well as professional cyclists. Her personalized approach integrates the physical and emotional aspects of a person’s life to promote optimal health and well-being. Karen’s commitment to continuous growth and learning within her field reflects her passion for total body health and wellness. She has received training and gained experience in areas such as Chronic Pelvic Pain, CranioSacral Therapy, Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release, and Visceral Manipulation (Level I and II).

Registered Massage Therapist
Brittany has been practicing as a registered massage therapist since July 2010. She practices outcome-based massage using assessment and palpation to identify the nature and cause of her clients’ impairments and functional limitations.

Osteopath & Personal Trainer
Working in all areas of the fitness the wellness industry, Chris united his fifteen years of experience into the most effective and powerful blend of body therapy and fitness coaching as ‘SomaFit Wellness.’ He is a CPTN Certified Personal Trainer, a CPAFLA SCEP Fitness Assessor, a CHEK Practitioner 1, a Holistic Lifestyle Coach and has a diploma in osteopathic Applied Soma Training through Guy Voyer, DO.
Trainer Chris has helped people improve the quality of their life, lessened their pains, and/or helped enhanced their athletic performance. He has been studying a European advanced style of training called Somatotherapy (European Osteopathy school), under founder and world renown French Osteopath, Guy Voyer, DO. He has studied with him in Montreal with other high level trainers who train celebrity athletes that demand results. Anyone can achieve astounding results utilizing Somatotherapy techniques such as ELDOA, MFS, GPS, 2TLS and joint pumping release. Chris is truly apart of an elite group worldwide qualified to implement these tools to help you.
At the age of 4, Chris was skating at the prestigious Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club that included young Elvis Stojko. He was lucky enough to work with the best coaches and skaters in Canada. He was introduced to off-ice strength and conditioning and then began coaching and assisting as well as performing and competing in skating, tennis and track. Chris is excited to be apart of the team at Innovative Spine & Wellness, where he is able to combine all his expertise and provide manual body therapy, personal training, holistic nutrition, lifestyle support and specialized fitness classes to help you achieve your goals.
